The Susten Pass (Sustenpass) is set in the Urner Alps of Switzerland and sits at an elevation of 2,260 m (7,415 ft.) above sea level. This high mountain pass links the region of Bern with the region of Uri and hosts a beautiful view of the Stein Glacier (located on the south side of the pass) - making this a popular pass for vacationers. This is the perfect route for motorcyclists and those driving glide through a tunnel 300 meters in length and over 26 bridges with dramatic mountain views as a backdrop. A series of beautiful sweepers can also be experienced during the ascension towards the summit and there’s a huge parking lot and a hospice on the Bernise side for those that need some time to pause and rest. This pass is not accessible from the months November through June and is closed daily from 6pm to 8 am.
