The Würzjoch Pass (also known as Passo del Erbe) is positioned in the region of South Tyrol in Italy. This high mountain road sits at an altitude of 2,006 m (6,581 ft.) above sea level and joins the city of Brixen in the Eisacktal with San Martin de Tor in the Val Gardena. This pass hosts a smooth well-designed roadway, but the space is quite constricted, so care should be taken when traveling through. Those traveling the Brixen route can look forward to 30 kilometers of zigzagging roads that glide through the foothills of the magnificent Dolomites to the San Martino in Badia. A beautiful emerald landscape is a welcomed treat once you reach the summit and there is a large parking lot and two hotels available as well for those in need of lodging. This pass is open from June to October and is not accessible in the winter months - except for the south side of the pass - which provides access to the Plose ski resort.
