The Sella Pass (Sellajoch; Passo Sella) is located in amongst the provinces of Trentino and South Tyrol in Italy and positioned at a grand altitude 2,244 m (7,362 ft.) above sea level. This high mountain road links the Val Gherdëina in South Tyrol and Canazei in the Fascia Valley in Trentino and is the most celebrated of all the Dolomite mountains passes. Regardless of this road hosting some intense vertical drops and the width being extremely narrow with no guardrails on a few areas along the route - the striking landscape and views on the Sassolungo Group make it worth the drive and motorcyclists are particularly drawn to this pass due the Sella Ronda Motorbike Tour that takes place here. The Sella Pass is accessible throughout the whole year, but August is the least ideal time to travel - as this pass is overcrowded with tourists around that time. Early summer or autumn are the best times to travel this pass
