The Reschen Pass (Reschenpass; Passo di Resia) is located in the Alps on the Austria-Italy border and sits at an altitude of 1,504 m (4,934 ft.) above sea level. This high mountain pass traverses the Alpine divide (a central line of mountains that form the water divide of the range) and is the favorite alternate route for those traveling on the Brenner Pass. Those traveling this pass are greeted with a scenic display of Inns Valley, dramatic mountain backdrops, and a snowy wonderland during the winter months. This road makes the perfect pleasure ride and takes travelers on a voyage of winding serpentines through a series of stone tunnels and avalanche corridors. There are also a plethora of restaurants, gift shops, mountain inns, campsites and outdoor recreational activities in the village of Reschen for those that want to stop and explore. This pass is open for travel all year around.
