Nigerpass ranks as the steepest pass in Italy (24% gradient) - making it popular route among motorcyclists and offers an exquisite view of Schlern Nature Preserve - which is positioned right at the border. This pass has some narrow points (particularly the road through Tiersertal), but the ride through the coniferous forest is quite magical and take travelers on a journey of winding curves and serpentines. There’s also a variety a restaurants located within the forest for those who want to stop and replenish. The Rosengarten (Rose Garden) is also a beautiful point of interest for those following the old pass road Tiers Valley. This pass is available to travel all year around.
