The Silvretta High Alpine Road (Silvretta Hochalpenstraße) is said to be one of the most visually stunning and famous scenic roads in the Austrian Alps. This high mountain pass is positioned at an altitude 2,032 kilometers that spiral 34 curves upward in a panoramic haven of exquisite natural landscape. This pass is a motorcyclist’s dream and offers those seeking a thrill ride sharp turns and vertical bends and infinite serpentines - all against an exquisite mountain backdrop. The highest mountain in the Austrain Silvretta region - known as the Piz Buin - can also be viewed if approaching from Galtür and there are restaurants atop the summit for those who want to pause and enjoy a bit. The Silvretta High Alpine Road is available for travel from June-November and those driving should expect to pay a toll-fee. The speed limit is also strictly enforced by the local police - so be mindful if you want to reduce your chances of getting a ticket.

In the summer and in good weather I would always go to the pass whenever I am passing by. In bad weather I would not worry and take the Autobahn which connects Feldkirch and Landeck.
